    ד”ר אורלי ברזילי קיבלה את הדוקטורט שלה מהפקולטה להנדסת תעשיה וניהול בטכניון ושייכת לסגל בביה”ס למערכות מידע. המחקר שלה הוא בתחום של תחבורה חכמה וחשיבה מופשטת. בתחום של תחבורה חכמה היא מתמקדת באלגוריתמים חכמים לניהול צומת ונתיב מהיר המתבססים על עומס ועל פרמטרים חברתיים. בתחום של חשיבה מופשטת היא מתמקדת בפתוח כישורי פתרון בעיות בקורסים המועברים במסגרת התואר למערכות מידע.
    לאורלי ניסיון של יותר מ 20 שנה בתעשייה בתחום של פיתוח מערכות מידע שאותו היא משלבת בהוראה ובמחקר. בתפקיד האחרון שלה היא הייתה שותפה בחברת הזנק בתחום של גיבוי קבצים ומיילים. כחלק משותפות זו היא רשומה על פטנט בתחום של גיבויים, שאושר ע”י משרד הפטנטים האמריקאי.
