כיהן כראש התכנית לתואר שני מחקרי בפסיכולוגיה בשש מגמות הלימוד בה.
פסיכוביולוג ופסיכופרמקולוג. בעל דוקטורט מאוניברסיטת בן-גוריון בנגב, המשיך את הכשרתו כפוסט-דוקטורט במכון הלאומי לבריאות הנפש ב-Bethesda MD, ארה"ב. חבר סגל באוניברסיטת מינסוטה במשך 7 שנים. לאחר מכן שב לישראל לטובת תפקיד במכללה האקדמית תל-אביב-יפו. בנוסף, פרופסור משנה במכללה לרוקחות, אוניברסיטת מינסוטה ופרופסור אורח באוניברסיטת אריסטו בסלוניקי, יוון.
במשך שנים רבות ערך מחקר על הביולוגיה הבסיסית של הפרעה דו קוטבית והטיפולים בה. בשנים האחרונות שינה את הדגש המחקרי וכעת לומד את האינטראקציות השונות בין מקצבי יממה, שינה ורווחה, בריאות ומחלות. שימש במספר תפקידים אקדמיים וכיום דיקן נבחר של בית הספר למדעי ההתנהגות והפסיכולוגיה במכללה האקדמית תל-אביב-יפו.
