    ד"ר הנץ גמליאל היא חברה בסגל המגמה לפסיכולוגיה קלינית, פסיכולוגית קלינית מומחית ומדריכה. תחומי מחקרה תואמים את עבודתה כפסיכולוגית קלינית של ילדים ומשפחות ואת תפקידיה כמדריכת פסיכולוגיות ופסיכולוגים צעירים. מחקרה המרכזי עוסק בקשרי הגומלין שבין תת־מערכות משפחתיות ובהשפעתן על התפתחותם של ילדות וילדים. מחקריה מדגישים את ההקשרים שבין גורמי סיכון משפחתיים (כמו פסיכופתולוגיה הורית, קונפליקט ביחסי הורים ו-ACE) וגורמי חוסן משפחתיים (כמו מנטליזציה הורית, הומור והורות משותפת) להסתגלות ילדים. תחום מחקר נוסף ומרכזי מתמקד בתרומתה של ההדרכה הקבוצתית לתהליכי ההתפתחות המקצועית של פסיכולוגיות ופסיכולוגים צעירים.
    ד"ר קרן הנץ גמליאל הייתה ראשת המסלול לפסיכולוגיה קלינית של הילד, וכיום היא מנהלת שותפה בפרויקט חונכות לבני נוער ביפו, שנקרא "נירים", של סטודנטיות וסטודנטים בתואר ראשון בבית הספר למדעי ההתנהגות.

    • קשרים בין תת מערכות במשפחה (הורה, קשר זוגי בין הורים, הורות משותפת, יחסי הורה-ילד, יחסי הורה-הורה-ילד) והשפעתן על התפתחות רגשית- חברתית של ילדים
    • קשרים בין גורמי סיכון (כגון פסיכופתולוגיה הורית, ACE) וגורמי חוסן (מנטליזציה, הומור) משפחתיים ובין התנהגות ילדים מהגיל הרך ועד ההתבגרות– מודלים של תיווך- מיתון ו APIMeM.
    • תרומתה של התערבות טיפולית בגיל הרך לחוסן נפשי (מחקר Big data)
    • יעילותה של הדרכה קבוצתית (פנים מול פנים ומקוונת) להתפתחות מיקצועית של פסיכולוגים צעירים
    • וויסות רגשי ומנטליזציה במבוגרים צעירים עם טראומה מוקדמת
